Armor Expert, Comfort and Shields

Does Armor Expert work for shields? (i would assume no)
Can Comfort enchantment be applied to shields? (i would assume no)
What are other ways of reducing shield's ACP other than masterwork and mithril?

both seem like no. There's a fighter archetypet that changes their armor training to be shield training reducing it's acp.

Tower Shield Specialist feat: Reduce ACP by 3 plus additional bonuses if you are a fighter.

Improved Shield Focus feat: Reduce ACP by 1

Depending on the specific issues you are trying to address there may be additional things that will help.

Darkwood also lowers shield's ACP by 2. I think all towershields are metal, so darkwood doesn't apply here, but a darkwood heavy wooden shield has ACP of 0. If you use it without being proficient, you'll take a penalty of 0 to all physical skills and ability check.

Mm, darkwood is the answer, i think. I wanted to have heavy shields with 0 ACP, preferably steel, but wooden will do. That is without using any feats.

Tower shields are wood by default. I think there's a specific magic tower shield that's metal, though.
