Does a mezlan have item slots?

Rules Questions

A mezlan is the most privileged of oozes, with cosmetic shapechanging among other abilities. Yet it is still an ooze, which I believe doesn't have item slots. So do mezlans have no slots, or whatever slots their form has?

If I'm not mistaken, item slots are determined by a creature's general body plan, not their creature type. Snakes don't have the same slots as apes, though they're both animals, for example. Since the mezlan is described as having a generally humanoid form, I'd imagine they'd have all the same item slots as a humanoid, since it could certainly wear all the same items.
