Need Help putting together a Dwarven Sacred Huntsman with a Yolubilis Heron ( Flying ) Animal Companion

Advice

Liberty's Edge

I am looking to attack and rain damage from above and swoop in to assist where necessary on the front lines and if possible provide ranged flank

If Sacred Huntsmaster is not a viable or sub-par option then other recommendations welcome.

Thanks

The archetypes is great. You are giving up a key combat buff for a weaker one but you get a flying animal companion out of it.

Don't build a switch hitter. Build for range, mounted combat or melee and stick to it. You will be more effective. Keep a few of your spells for assisting people.

For a combat inquisitor = 17 or 18 in you main combat stat, 14 con, 14 wisdom. You can dump cha. For ranged don't dump your strength.

Feat point blank shot, precise shot, rapid shot, deadly aim, and manyshot are your path.

Rage or destruction are great for melee. Eagle is awesome for archery if your gm will allow it. Liberation, travel, luck, trickery are good on every character.

Does the race have to be dwarf? If so you will want undersized mount. If not a small creature on a medium mount provides much more mobility, more accuracy, better ac, and bonus that are more appropriate for an archer.

Both halfings and grippli make sense to be on a heron.

Yes it must be a dwarf - DM Mandate

I picked the Heron because @ 7th level its Large and its STR is 23 which is strong enough to support an armored dwarf

It's a great mount, but I would go extra item slot, muleback cords or heavy load belt and undersized mount. You can also use animal focus for strength. I can not stress enough how much better a medium mount is most of the time for a spirited charge build. This becomes especially true if you pick up wheeling charge.

Keeping dex high also has the benefit of making it easier to succeed at your fly checks.

So what would the build out be in terms of feats, companion feats pursuing your advice on undersized mount?
