Concilator

Rules Questions

You can attempt a Diplomacy check to make a request of an enemy even if he is unfriendly or hostile, but only to request a pause in combat (which requires you and your apparent allies to take no attacks or hostile actions for 1 round prior to the request) or to request that he uses only nonlethal attacks (which requires you and your apparent allies to have made no attacks or used only nonlethal attacks against him for the past 24 hours). The DC is equal to 15 + the target’s CR + the target’s Wisdom modifier; it is modified by any other factors that would impact a Diplomacy check to make a request.

My question is the following :
If the character with this feat is in combat, can the character use the Diplomacy to stop the combat ?

Is it a standard action or a 1 round action to make a request ?

So then, the character success to stop the combat, can the character influence attitude in 1 minute ?

Yes, if you and your allies make no attacks for one full round during the next round you can use your (probably full round action) to use diplomacy to stop combat. They must have the 3+ int required by diplomacy and share a language.

From diplomacy " Diplomacy is generally ineffective in combat and against creatures that intend to harm you or your allies in the immediate future."

Most likely, no. You can't shift their attitude as they fall into the 2nd part of that quote... They were just beating on you and intend harm.

In the event that the GM rules that because they stopped combat you can again try to diplomacy their attitude they would be hostile so DC 25+Cha modifiers at the minimum, and likely higher due to circumstances.

what is the difference with call truce feat ?

Is the feat more effective than conciliator ?
