pact wizard / deity summoning

Rules Questions

Dark Archive

Usually only Clerics can have alternative summoning of monsters. A pact wizard receives an aura corresponding to his subtype just like a cleric. Would this allow me to be able to use the deity summoning in addition to the normal summon monsters?

These expanded deity-specific monsters are available to a "priest" of that deity. The text doesn't define what it means by priest, so ultimately this will be up to GM discretion. However, it does make mention of Summon Nature's Ally so we can infer that Druids are meant to qualify. Since Druids lack the aura feature, we can conclude that aura has no bearing on whether you qualify for the faithful summons or not.

Makes sense. Read in the message boards that you could use faithful summons because of the aura. But like you said, the aura has no bearing on that. So no bloody skeleton for me.
