This is my second character build for pathfinder, so I'm new. We are at level 5, I put my ability scores into strength, so here are my stats.
STR 11
DEX 11
Con 15
Int 14
Wis 13
Cha 10
My mount is a wolf, using him as an animal companion, no mounted combat until he is large, DM is allowing it.
My feats are
Weapon proficiency battle axe
Shield proficiency
Shield focus
Outflank
Intercept charge
Anything I can do to make him better?

You'll be having a hard time with Str 11, how did you determine stats?
You seem to only have 3 feats, battle axe and shield prof are not feats for you, they come as part of the class under "Weapon and Armor Proficiency"
You should have 4, for normal feats at 1, 3, and 5, and a bonus teamwork feat from your class at 1

Yeah had it wrong, weapon focus, shield focus, intercept charge, and outflank. I have been a blocker for our bard or wizard, and I'm the oder of the dragon, giving slight boosts when I can.
We rolled for stats, since I'm new, I thought building for extra skills and languages was a good idea, it wasn't. DM sold me an item to boost strength, so that should help next time I level.

Hmm yeah I'd have gone str over int for sure. You can't even qualify for power attack at this rate, and your STR is so low you wouldn't even want to.
If he let's you do a small rebuild is have your con and STR switched at the very least. That would make it 14 and 12 with the stat boosts right? You'd lose a few HP but.. You kind of need it.

At about level 6 you'd expect an item to boost an ability score, and for a normal melee type that'd be on top of a decent base strength score. Getting a belt which adds +2 Str would just avoid having the situation get worse rather than fixing anything at this point. OK, if the item's better than that maybe it'd help.
If the GM won't contemplate letting you change the character ask him about letting you retire this one and creating a new character.

Those are horrible stats, tallying up to only 12pt-buy in a dwarf.STR 11
DEX 11
Con 15
Int 14
Wis 13
Cha 10
My mount is a wolf, using him as an animal companion, no mounted combat until he is large, DM is allowing it.
Trade the wolf in for a warhorse* right now, and get into a military-saddle.
This results in immediately gaining:
- a +1 elevation bonus to attack versus most afoot opponents
- doubling your move
- tripling your animal-companion's attacks
(*Damn right the GM is going to let you have a better animal than normal for you having to play with those stats.)
At 5th, do not take cavalier 5th; instead take barbarian1 [Savage-Technologist or Mounted Fury archetype ideally, or just the normal one] and the feat Extra Rage.
My feats are
Weapon proficiency battle axe
Shield proficiency
Shield focus
Outflank
Intercept charge
Intercept Charge I'd get rid of, and move Outflank into my Cavalier's free Teamwork feat slot.
Take Mounted Combat, and pick up a lance to use while mounted. Your character is doing crap for damage, so start doubling it whenever possible.
