Anti Magic Paladin / Cavalier

Advice

So I was thinking is there a way to make a build of a mageslayer similar to the Templar in Dragon Age, so a non squishy/mobile/agile mage slayer but a heavy armored one, preferabily using cavalier or paladin? something like a paladin with oath against arcane magic?

thank you

If you want to be mobile with heavy armor, a straight up fighter might be what you want since armor training will help you out. Disruptive and the Step-up feat chain will be useful for making life hard on casters.

I think the OP meant a non-"squishy/mobile/agile" cahracter, or "not a squishy/mobile/agile character".

Paladin's a good way to start since their saves are so amazing, but you really want to get Spell-Resistance as well if you're going Mage-Hunter. I think Dwarves can get SR, so using a certain Race could help.

I found a few Paladin Archetypes that can give you Spell Resistance:
DIVINE DEFENDER
LEGATE
OATH AGAINST GROTESQUERY
OATH AGAINST FIENDS
SACRED SHIELD
Between your high saves and Spell Resistance this should make it hard for casters to do much to you directly. I haven't actually looked at whether any of these are good archetypes, but it's somewhere to start.

oh well is there any anti spellcaster prestige then?
