Interesting application for Rich parents trait.

I was thinking of how to make use of the rich parents trait without you coming off as a pampered brat.

And something just kind of came to me "It's true my parents were loaded.....I never said they actually GAVE me the money thought."

How would that fly with a DM?

I’d allow.it as a GM. But be prepared to have a reward on your head and/or have people know about your low, low reputation.

You don't even have to KNOW your parents... They could be dead, you could be a bastard and raised elsewhere, ect. You could just be walking along and someone comes up, says he was your parents friend and hands you a sack of coins... Born into a rich/noble family and being raised in one are two different things.

I usually suggest people play it as if the parents disapprove of the PC's adventuring lifestyle and hope that they will grow out of it soon.
