At risk of posting this in the "wrong" forum, I posit it here because it relates to a long-time freelance author of PFS and Pathfinder materials. So hopefully, no one will get their "undies in a twist" and force it to be moved to another forum where fewer people in our community are likely to see it.

Whether you remember him for his Mud Sorcerer's Tomb mini-adventure in the pages of Dungeon Magazine from so many years ago or from his more recent publications like PFS 3-03 The Ghennet Manor Gauntlet, PFS 4-02 In Wrath's Shadow, 5-01 The Glass River Rescue, or the season six special "Legacy of the Stormlords", or modules like Tomb of the Iron Medusa and Dragon's Demand, or his many contributions to soft-cover rule books and Adventure Paths, Mike Shel has been a prolific author providing us hours of gaming enjoyment.

Well, now Mike is jumping into the vast ocean of fantasy novels. His short story Barrowlands can be found in the upcoming Lost Lore coming January 15th and hopefully his new fantasy trilogy Iconoclasts set in the same world will be released soon. You can find more information HERE in the off-topic forums or you can shoot over to his FACEBOOK page or his WEBSITE for more information.

Good luck Mike with his new endeavor. Wishing you success!

Ghennet Manor Gauntlet was one of the most brilliant things I have ever GMed. So clever! It made for a memorable adventure. I also enjoyed playing Glass River Rescue with my undine, Nixie.

Congratulations on writing the trilogy in your own world, Mike Shel!

Yeah, I was worried that he died, too! I thought I was stepping into an obituary thread. I was very glad to be proven wrong.

LoL. I just spoke to Mike yesterday and he's very much alive and well. Sorry if the title eluded otherwise. Just trying to alert people to his work that will not be as visible to our community through normal gaming channels. I've had the great fortune of reading a draft of Barrowlands and I loved it. Cannot wait to see how it is developed into an entire series/world.

Oh thank goodness... I figured he was either dead or like too many other talents great Paizo contributors stepping away for awhile.

Thank goodness he's just being published. Will have to track down a copy.

It's for your own good sir. The world outside is dangerous, see how everyone was quick to assume you were dead? You can thank bob for taking care of you to such a complete degree and he doesn't even qualify for an extra tax break for his efforts and additional expenses!

Glad to hear of this new endeavor, i'll check it out!

For a moment, I was worried, too. Glad to see it was some very good news. :)

Dragon's Demand is one of my favorite PF adventures, and Mike's one of the authors whose work has inspired me to also write adventures for Paizo.
