What kind of creatures have you called forth and negotiated with for services? What kind of service is have you negotiated for? What kind of price did you pay? How have you treated sentient summons? How have they treated you? Do you have any stories in which a sentient summon played a major role in reaching your goal?

Does no one use Planar Ally or Planar Binding? I'm trying to come up with ways my players could use a specific Planar Ally/Binding item.

The Exchange

There is a guide somewhere, that someone created. Not sure where as on phone. The most threads on the subject is to bind the wish givers.

Since you're the GM, I'd simply suggest you lay your cards on the table and let your players know how it would work if they decide to use called creatures as allies.

Personally, I don't think the players should be using called creatures instead of risking their own character. In the same way that first level characters shouldn't be able to simply hire a hundred mercenaries for 30 gp per day and tell them to go clear out that dungeon, a party shouldn't be using high level magics to whistle up a bunch of outsiders to go adventure for them.

Of course, it's your game. If it's more of a kingdom builder game than an actual adventuring storyline, there's probably no real harm in letting the players conjure up a few problem-solvers, since the real focus of the game is more about diplomacy, expansion and mass combat.
