I've previously asked about Shaman Spirit Magic qualifying a kobold with the Scaled Disciple feat for Dragon Disciple. Since Spirit Magic allows the shaman to spontaneously cast divine spells I came to the conclusion it would satisfy the feat requirements.
I just read about Mnemonic Vestments which allow a spontaneous caster to use their spontaneous spell slot instead of expending a scroll to cast from that scroll. My question is now: Does the shaman count as a spontaneous caster for the requirements of this item with Spirit Magic?
Can a character be considered both a spontaneous an prepared caster? Is there some assumption in the rules that prevents being both?

Ability to spontaneously cast divine spells
These lines refer to the primary spells casting method.
Shaman's primary method is prepared. Just like many other classes, you may have a limited number of spontaneous spells. That doesn't make you a spontaneous caster. Likewise for the Mnemonic Vestments item.

This is the thread in which you agreed that, given Spirit Magic grants spontaneous slots indistinguishable from other spontaneous casters, Shaman should qualify for "ability to cast 1st level divine spell without preparation"
The distinction between that thread and this one is that Mnemonic Vestments require you to *be* a spontaneous caster. Which I'm inclined to agree with you that it is defined by your class.

It's kinda embarrassing that I didn't do research in that thread I did here.
If you have spontaneous spell slots based on your level, it works.
If you don't have a spell slot chart, it doesn't.
That means if your base casting for shaman has spontaneous spell slots based on your level, it works.
So sorcerers have a:
Table: Sorcerer Spells Known
They are spontaneous.
Shaman do not, they are prepared.
I have yet to play a shaman, so I didn't know if they were prepared or spontaneous until now.

I think your reasoning is perfectly fine for this case. The main chart might decide whether a character is classified as prepared or spontaneous and can't be a mix of both, but I'll leave the discussion of weather Spirit Magic counts as having the ability to spontaneously cast divine spells for the other thread.
Do you have a resource that clarifies whether a class can be both prepared and spontaneous? I'm looking for Arcanist info since they're a similar muddiness.
