I'm toying around with an idea for a swordlordy devoted muse.
Rostland Bravo swashbuckler.
Would the Devoted Muse archetype's deeds class feature advance the archetype's deeds, or just give vanilla deeds.
I'm thinking the former due to the note of 'levels stack with other classes with the deeds ability', but wanted to double check I'm not getting the wrong end of the stick there.

You may be getting both ends of the stick.
Deeds (Ex)
This ability functions exactly as the swashbuckler ability of the same name with two exceptions.
First, the devoted muse qualifies for and benefits from deeds as if she were a swashbuckler 3 levels lower than her class level (minimum 1). Second, the devoted muse doesn’t gain the opportune parry and riposte deed until 4th level.
The swashbuckler referred to here is the vanilla swashbuckler.
For the purpose of this ability, a devoted muse’s class levels otherwise stack with levels in any other class that grants the deeds ability.
The stacking advances your bravo deeds, just as it would if rostland bravo were its own class and not just an archetype.
Okay, looking over what I just wrote, this is kinda weird. Other opinions?

So... gets vanilla swashbuckler deeds from the Devoted Muse's deeds ability, and advances archetype deeds from the stacking clause?
I believe that to be the case. At least, that was how we played it. Had a player take a Swash archetype that trades away Opportune Parry who subsequently got it back with Devoted Muse.
That would be unusually generous.
Swashbuckler deserves more good things they can do in combat that aren't "do damage" and "be hard to hit" so if the Devoted Muse PrC is generous, that's understandable since it encourages Swashes to feint for debuffs.
