So, I have a question. My character just got a Freedom of Movement ring. During one of our battles, our Spellcaster casted Haste on our party but our DM ruled that haste did not work for my character because of the FOM Ring. He stated that the description of the Freedom of Movement spell says “This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes Movement.......” He ruled that because the rule says “to move and attack normally,” Haste would be negated by the Ring because it is not normal to move quicker under the spell. So basically, my character cannot have any speed changes because it would be negated by the Ring. I argued that haste would not impede movement but enhance it, which it doesn’t say anything about in the rules. He ruled against my argument.
So, please Paizo, we need a ruling here. Does the Freedom of Movement Ring negate Haste? He’s not budging off his ruling until we get clarification from Paizo on this.
Thank you!!!

I've never heard of anyone else preventing Haste from working with Freedom of Movement. But FoM is a poorly defined spell that has been awaiting FAQ rulings since 2011.
In general FoM is supposed to be purely an advantage.
For example, some GMs ruled that since it allowed you to move 'normally' underwater you couldn't swim; you'd just drop to the bottom of the ocean and be able to walk about (if the fall didn't kill you). This made FoM at sea pretty dangerous. But there was eventually an official ruling on that:
The creature (with freedom of movement) automatically succeeds at all Swim checks as the water offers no significant resistance to its movement. If the creature has the ability to do so, it can fly or use spells like air walk to freely move around as if it were in air.

That's really not likely to happen. The Paizo staff are pretty reluctant to answer rules clarifications, and if they do, it's usually with the proviso that that's simply how that single staffer would rule it, and not an official answer from Paizo. You're basically looking for an FAQ answer for something official, and that usually takes a large number of FAQ requests to move it to a high priority, and the development team would need to meet and come to a consensus before releasing an FAQ. That's not too likely with an issue like this, because the answer is pretty clear. Nothing in freedom of movement says you're prevented from moving or attacking differently from your normal, only that you're enabled to move and attack normally. So if you want to attack normally you can, if you want to use the effects from haste, you can, because enables =/= must.

If the GM refuses to budge, point him out Freedom of Movement has nothing to do with that speed alteration. It's no entanglement nor grappling or etc.
This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web. All combat maneuver checks made to grapple the target automatically fail. The subject automatically succeeds on any combat maneuver checks and Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.
If it was hindering haste, that would have clearly been explicited in the spell text. He has made a wrong assumption.
