So, I have a question. My character just got a Freedom of Movement ring. During one of our battles, our Spellcaster casted Haste on our party but our DM ruled that haste did not work for my character because of the FOM Ring. He stated that the description of the Freedom of Movement spell says “This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes Movement.......” He ruled that because the rule says “to move and attack normally,” Haste would be negated by the Ring because it is not normal to move quicker under the spell. So basically, my character cannot have any speed changes because it would be negated by the Ring. I argued that haste would not impede movement but enhance it, which it doesn’t say anything about in the rules. He ruled against my argument.

So, please Paizo, we need a ruling here. Does the Freedom of Movement Ring negate Haste? He’s not budging off his ruling until we get clarification from Paizo on this.

Thank you!!!
