I personally would like to see a continuation of the trait from Hells Rebels only called 'Child of Oppara' which if you take the Noble scion feat puts a PC into the heirs of Major nobility in the area, without the feat into minor nobility.
Not to mention like the altered feat in the Hells Rebels book with alternate abilities based on the families available to picked.
:-) seems like the best place to make a fine continuation of these since we are going with a James Bond/Game of Thrones feel for this AP.
Can make for some interesting backgrounds from the players. Since my wife has agree'd to run the AP [all I have to do is run Hell's Vengeance or Strange Aeons in turn, apparently I do horror and creepy well O_o]

I saw speculation the traits would all be reasons a character chooses to support one side in the war. This would work nicely to ensure all PCs are on the same team by default.
That's not mutually exclusive with your idea though. Could easily have each of the families (or branches) have some disgrace/low status that would be lifted, bastards recognized ect.

True enough.
Wouldn't also mind seeing an "City Guard" trait +1 perception and makes it a class skill.
Even a continuation of the feat from Carrion Crown "on the Payroll" where a PC worked for the family lines at one time and are remembered working honestly and hard and thus a reason to be looked for when dung hit's the fan, so to speak.
A lot of fun ideas that might fit for the campaign, and it seems like this one might be good for me to test out my Arcane Blooded Sorcerer Noble of house Merrosett idea. :-)

Thanks for starting this thread for me. I've had a few ideas rattling around:
- Alert to Intrigues Your time at court has taught you much, and you well know that sometimes words have two meanings:You gain a +5 trait bonus on Sense Motive checks made to discern secret messages; also, you never infer false information when using Sense Motive to discern secret messages.
- Missionary Arodenite Convert You were raised in the faith tradition of the dead god Aroden, before you adopted your new faith:Whatever the reason for your conversion, you seek to be a living exemplar of the religion you've chosen, and as a result, you have one additional use per day of blessings or channeling energy.
- Clotheshound The haute couture of Oppara is something you find endlessly fascinating:Your fondness for fashion grants you a +1 trait bonus to Appraise and Disguise checks, and one of these (your choice) is always a class skill for you. In addition, you begin play with a courtier's outfit suitable for your size and jewelry worth 50 gp.
- Coming Out Today is your debut as the latest in the long line of your ancient family:Naturally, you have to look your best. You begin play with 200 gp in heirloom jewelry, a noble's outfit suitable for your size, and your choice of a masterwork rapier or a masterwork suit of light armor.
- Dietary Expert You work as a poison taster, whether because you have a taste for fine food due to a hungry childhood, or because you enjoy the spice of danger:You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws vs. ingested poisons. In addition, your time spent at the tables of the well-to-do has given you a +1 trait bonus to Knowledge [nobility] and Profession [cook], and one of these skills is always a class skill for you.
- Eutropia Loyalist You are secretly convinced that the young Princess Eutropia is the only noble with what it will take to make Taldor great again:You gain a +2 trait bonus to saving throws vs. charms, compulsions, and any attempt to read your mind.
- Foreign Emissary You hail from the exotic lands far to the East of Taldor, and have trained in a discipline which is rare in Taldor. As a result, you are a welcome curiosity at court:In addition to the languages you know because of your race and Intelligence, you begin play knowing your choice of Kelish, Tien, or Vudrani. In addition, you gain a +1 trait bonus on Perception and Sense Motive, as well as +1 point in your ki pool or phrenic pool.
- Rhapsodic Bohemian You either studied at one of Oppara's bardic colleges, or practiced in many jam sessions with those who did:As a result of your familiarity with the performing arts, you gain +3 bardic performance rounds per day.
- Savage Mercenary Your Ulfen heritage means your seeming disinterest in Taldan politics allows you to command a higher wage as a sellsword:You gain +3 rage rounds per day.
- Shameless Hanger-on Your ambition to better your place in Taldor's social hierarchy means you must be bold in seeking out patrons and mentors:As a result, you gain a +2 trait bonus to saves vs. fear.
- Tradition of Service You come from a family with a long and proud tradition of loyal service to the Taldan state:As a result, you gain a +1 trait bonus to Knowledge (history) and Profession (soldier), and one of these is always a class skill for you. In addition, your familiarity with giving and taking orders means that should you ever take the Leadership feat, you gain a +1 trait bonus to your Leadership score.
- Wary Bureaucrat You are a scrivener, translator, or other minor functionary in the Taldan court. Having seen what the right document can do to and for someone, your attention to the details of paperwork borders on paranoia:You gain a +1 trait bonus on Craft (calligraphy), Linguistics, and Profession (scribe), and one of these (your choice) is always a class skill for you. In addition, for the purpose of detecting forgeries of official Taldan government documents, you are always treated as reviewing a type of document well known to the reader; and for the purpose of creating such a forgery, you are always treated as having seen a similar document. In addition, you begin play with a masterwork calligrapher's kit (55 gp value).
