I cannot seem to find any rules for whether or not outsiders or constructs can "die" due to old age. As the answer to this question leads back to what caused the question: do elementals, mephits, imps, quasits, or homunculi (improved familiars) have the capacity to die of old age, or are they effectively immortal (barring premature death through violence, etc.)?

Hard rules? Not really, but it is generally accepted/implied that both outsiders and constructs "live" forever. Outsiders are often described as "solid souls" and as such don't suffer from the "frailties of flesh" (or the mind, I recall at least one mention of outsiders being different mentally so they can deal with being alive for so long). Constructs (and undead) lack constitution scores, which is generally seen as the source of "normal life" and its limitations.
I can't say I am aware of any "normal" outsiders or constructs which are explicitly stated as not able to exist indefinitely barring violence.
That said, much like a risen demon or fallen angel, the story of a dying immortal can be very powerful if used skillfully and sparingly. A devil so ancient it suffers the age penalties/bonuses, knowing that soon it will be absorbed back into the bones of Hell, and wishes to accomplish one unfinished goal even if only through proxies like adventurers and is willing to make less than diabolical deals (aka fair) to make it happen.
Or an iron golem who has persisted even past the wizard's tower it guarded, now a rusting sculpture in the center of a ring of stones, creakily moving to greet a PC who happens to be a long lost descendant of the wizard.
But regarding the original question? While I can't recall an explicit statement, I believe the intent is that constructs and outsiders live forever.

These were my thoughts as well, but I didn't know if there existed rules for this outside of "loose core." Just trying to see if the immortal wizard can find a suitably immortal companion. She'll get lonely...
There are many Paizo published instances of outsiders and constructs living/enduring for 10,000+ years.

I can't find a definite rule on it either, so it works exactly how you want it to work in your game (not that you couldn't change it before, obviously).
My general opinion is that constructs do not age, by virtue of the fact that they are basically animated objects.
Regular outsiders are immortal, native outsiders are not. I have trouble imagining an elderly, frail demon, devil, or elemental.
