Ways to start with telepathy

I have an idea for a nature oracle with the clouded vision curse, and was wondering if there was a way besides the Lashunta race to gain telepathy. I'd like to stick with a small race for this character so I can mount up at level one with a wolf.

Basically, level one, is there a way to gain telepathy?

Not that I know of, though the message cantrip can look similar. There are ways of getting off-list cantrips if that's sufficient.

I see where you went there. Sadly, it wouldn't fit.

I have an idea for a knight on wolfback (hehe) who is able to communicate with the wolf through thought. If there was a telepathy like ability that was restricted to a one on one mental pathway, thatd work too.

I think speak with animals could look like that. Gnomes with Cha 11+ get that as a spell-like ability 1/day.

I dunno whether speak with animals would look nonverbal on your end, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't on the wolf's. It would be making wolf noises. No idea if that conflicts with your concept.

It'll do simply because I need one way communication without interruption. Eventually, I'll just make/buy a helm of telepathy, and go from there.
