Genesis is an unusual spell in that it's not actually on any spell lists anymore, but it still technically exists unnerfed (or at least does enough for this thread) . Back in Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting (Golarion for 3.5) it was the 9th level spell for the Artifice domain, but in the CRB the Artifice domain was reprinted and the 9th changed to prismatic sphere so nobody actually has the spell on list anymore.
Any idea how one can actually cast it? There's lots of ways to get off list spells, but all of them I can think of require it be from a certain list and/or it be under the highest level you can cast and/or raises the spell a level, none of which work.

I know those spells have replaced it, but if you consider 3.5 Golarion material without reprints to exist (which even PFS does this to a degree) it still technically exists and is an interesting character building exercise.
"Ask your GM nicely" is literally the least interesting character building exercise possible.

Only if your GM is a douche and/or you believe that RPGs are about winning the game by means of bludgeoning everybody at the table to death using the rulebooks.

What? I think you have grossly misunderstood what I'm saying.
I'm saying that "asking your GM nicely" isn't an actual character building exercise, I'm not saying anything is wrong with asking you're GM nicely. To be honest, I'd find it strange if you tried to use a Character Building Exercise character in a game without asking your GM because they often use niche things your GM likely hasn't heard of before so doing such things without GM permission would be a jerk move.
But what this guy is asking is "How do I make this into a character building exercise" when there is literally only 1 thing that is possible to allow such a character "Ask your GM". There is no character building exercise in that.
It's very simple. The guy wants a houserule, so ask the GM for the houserule and you'll know if you can do it. There is no other option.
