Hi everyone,
I just had a team of 5 adventurers play through Crown of the Kobold king, and they are on their way back to town. The paladin ended up with two of the most expensive items (mitral armor and the crown), so I wanted the town magician to offer items in trade for the crown so they could distribute the wealth.
But looking at the pricing it does not make sense to me. The crown is a combined:
Amulet of natural armor 2 = 8000 gold.
Headband of Alluring Charisma = 4000 gold.
Imunity to dragon fear effect =???
+1 to caster levels for sorcerer spells =???
Combined effects into 1 item =???
For the price off 15000 gold.
Am I right? Should this be way higher? Can someone break down what this item should cost by raw?

Short answer, no. Costs, especially costs given in published material, can just be made up whole cloth with no basis in anything. And that's the RAW, since the devs are the ones that decided that. I can give you the brief version of how to make a combined item but that doesn't mean it will actually fit.
First off, for simple +stat items (like the amulet of NA and Headband of Cha) you use the formula. Combining two items (like those last two) is done by multiplying everything but the highest cost by 50% before adding them together. So it would be 8,000 amulet, +6,000 headband (from your example). Immunity to dragon fear is fairly niche, the best comparison would be an item that already exists but it's certainly not worth as much as full fear immunity. This one would be entirely arbitrary. +1 CL is worth 15,000 (slotted orange prism ioun stone). The restriction is entirely pointless, it's either worthless or worth full price (and for pricing out how to make it, we always assume full price). Of course, now we're at 15,000 (+CL) + 12,000 (amulet) + 6,000 (headband) + ???? (fear).
So long story short, way too #@$%ing cheap. It does come from a 3.5 module though, so that might be it.

At the end of 3.5 there was a trend of lowering the cost of various effects like healing and other previously expensive effects.
Pathfinder reversed course back to original.
Think there is a ring that helps with fear for 4,000 gp.
Orange ioun stone is +1 allcaster level. It’s already doubled due to slotless and most of the time all vs one is doubled. So that’s 7,500 for +1 cl to sorcerer.
So that’s 8, 7.5, 4, 4. The combined effects usually is 1.5 so:
8000+1.5*7500+4000*1.5+4000*1.5 = 31,250 gp?

Ring of the Sublime is 2,000 gp.
