Changeling = ???

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Obviously pathfinder took their changelings in a different direction, so what's the closest thing pathfinder has to the changeling race from 4e? I really liked their shapechanger heritage and general aesthetic.

It's easy enough to replicate the Eberron Changeling in Pathfinder using the race creation rules in the ARG.

"Change Shape, Greater" is a 6 RP magical trait, you can add on to that 4-5 other race points worth of stuff you think is important and come up with something reasonable.

I suppose so, I was hoping there'd be something vaguely close to it without homebrewing (lots of splatbooks for weird options these days, figured it couldnt hurt to ask).

You could probably model it off of the kitsune, and the kitsune may well be the closest thing to an Eberron changeling -

By default a kitsune has a fixed alternate human guise, but with a single feat can expand that ability to encompass every single human they've ever seen.

Reptoids. They're alien reptilians who can shapechange and change what their shapechanged appearance looks like regularly.
