So if this is in the wrong spot, I’m sorry. But I have a question about how the society boon shot works. Do you have to spend 2 Rep to get the Champion boon to earn more rep for that faction or can you horde all your rep and not buy that boon until you want it? Also can you always earn 2 rep without the champion boon?

You start with one faction champion boon for free. You can buy other faction champion boons with Fame.
You get Reputation with a faction (mostly, with minor exceptions) when you have the champion boon for that faction slotted at the start of an adventure, so you have to have the boon before you can gain Rep with that faction.

What you buy with Fame is Faction Boons. You can't use Fame to buy equipment (unless it is equipment from a faction boon).
Reputation is both faction-specific and general. You have a total reputation that determines your overall reputation tier. As a subset of the total reputation, you have individual faction reputation that determines the tier for that faction.
Depending on your tier, you have access to boon. Each boon has a cost in fame.

Maybe clearer. So fame gets spent on boons. What is available is dependent upon my reputation with the individual factions.
Reputation has 2 subsets: total and individual faction. And it never goes down.
Sounds like I had it reversed and I need to edit some Chronicles.
