Pepper Spray - Cayenne Pepper

Hello!
One of my player asked me if it would be a dirty trick maneuver to use Pepper Spray on someone... I tried to look it up, but I don't see anything with that name (no "Pepper", no "Cayenne", no "Spray")...
I then realized that spray bottles were relatively new and would probably not exist on Golarion... Even perfumes are in vials!

... So, have I missed something? Even if there's no spray bottles/cans, wouldn't it be possible to just throw some hot sauce into their eyes? That would probably be a dirty trick, but then what would be the effect? Blind for one round, like throwing dirt? But then, why use expensive spices... That would at least explain why it's nowhere to be seen in the game, but I feel like it should be more potent, maybe like giving a penalty on perception for a number of rounds and maybe (BIG maybe) either a penalty to attacks or partial cover?

I'm kinda bad at GMing the rules, way better at the fluff stuff. That's why I'm asking here, as you're all way better judge than me at this, and usually I always just need a quick search here to get my answer. Thanks for helping.

Hot sauce, depending on where it landed, I could see causing blinded or sickened for a round. Doing more than that would probably involve a feat, a class feature, or some type of alchemical weapon.

Yeah... I was thinking the same thing. Even more so that I've looked up spices and all and saw it wasn't that costly considering the price of Itching, Sneezing (,etc) Powders.

And I always forget "sickened" can be used for other things (fluff) than being literally sickened. xD
Thanks.

They are not new, though they are certainly higher quality and lower cost now. There's a Roman weapon called the Cheirosiphon which is basically a precursor to the flamethrower. Sort of squirts liquid fire at the enemy.

If that can be built, having a Pathfinder device that squirts liquid or powder at the enemy isn't unrealistic.

And on subject, there is a PFS-legal device that sprays liquid or powder: Jetcaster
