Star Wars mini ships (micro machines) - 16 of these
Spartan Games armada space ships (my group got 4 full fleets sorted for this game before the company folded a few weeks ago) 80 of these, from five different factions.
Dropfleet commander ships (similar to the Firestorm Armada game but less range. These guys are still in business though) none of these yet.

Ground Zero Games spaceship range, which is pretty extensive and varied with some truly alien 'bioship' types among others. I've about 80 of those, including civilian ships and three different fleets.
As a general suggestion, I'd recommend miniature wargames ranges as cheaper and more varied than more specific types such as the Star Wars and Star Trek game ranges. Especially if the models are similar enough in size that you can use more than one sort in a game, you can build up a really varied fleet that way.
Edit: A cheap way to get some counters for spaceships would be to look on Bordgamegeek at some of the space board games they list. In many cases the counter-sheet with the ships is there as an image that you could download and print out onto card.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with micromachines. I lost most of mine (had Star Wars and Star Trek) but I wanted to use them. I had some Star Trek battles I got from a convention for cheap, and was using the Valjean as the main ship for a bit.
I'm running Dead Suns though, and I just got the pawns, so I thin I'm going to be using them from now on out since I'll have all the ships involved in the campaign.

I actually purchased from 0-hr and it was pretty good. Ryan Wolfe frequently adds new models through Kickstarters, so every few months there's something new.
Most minis are 9$ unpainted, plus you can get poster size maps of the internals for 20$+ (depending on the ship size, some are 30$). If that's out of your range, he sells PDF versions on DriveTrhuRPG for around 5$ and those also come with a small book on the ship's lore, specs, etc. A lot of effort gets put in.
Downside for me was shipping. Since I live in Canada my costs were inflated for exchange and shipping was about 20$ on its own, but Ryan was more than accomodating, even offering me a sample of something I was curious about. Some people also might be discouraged that the models are unpainted and unprimed, personally not an issue for me but then again I love to paint miniatures. Have since my dad first let me paint a Warhammer lizardman when I was young.
So yeah, strong recommendation for 0-hr if you want ship minis, particularly for a PC ship.
