Roosters as a Sacred Animals: is this a thing?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So my players had a hilarious moment during a cockfight in Serpent's Skull. I allowed a PC to take control of their prize rooster, which he then abused to hilarious effect by declaring a coup de grace on the fallen opposition. I'm now looking for a fun continuation. Are there any deities, preferably evil ones, with roosters as their sacred animal?

Gozreh holds all animals sacred.

Aldinach has both the sun and animal domains, which fits rooster pretty well.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Iaozrael, the Untarnished Angel, a Duke of Hell.

Not sacred, but there is the Mighty Battle Cock.

I don't know what the official Pathfinder version of the demon Abraxus is like (if there even is one) but many historical images of him have the head of a cock or rooster.

Well, traditionally the rooster is a herald to the sun, so I rather expect Sarenrae is fond of them. I realize this is a no duh kind of post, but it is all I've got.
