Rules Questions

So me and my friend searched the entire book for everything we could find on crafting. Crafting magic and technological items are explained on page 235 but those rules do not transfer over well to crafting specific things. For example Constructs aka robots and vehicles.

Specifically the price's are rather questionable. We have made a set of interperative rulings for how to craft such things but I'd like to know if anyone can give a more accurate ruling. Here is what we've got so far.

crafting constructs:
To craft a technological construct you must find the price and level of each item used in its construction, aka arms, computers, cameras, etc etc. Once you have these prices you than count them each as being 1.5x their base price rounded up to the nearest decimal. The level of the item is equal to the total levels divided by 2 rounded up.

Example: Robotic Backpack Buddy. (aka backpack with an arm)
Prosthetic limb, standard Level 1 100 Credits. Arm and hand Pg 209
Computer. level 1. 50 credits. DC to hack 17. Pg 214
Industrial Backpack. Level 1, 25 Credits, 1 Bulk Pg 231
Camera. 5 credits. Light bulk.Pg 218
Artificial personality +10% of computer’s base price Pg 215
Self-charging +10% of computer’s base price Pg 215
End price = 188 credits. Level 2

Crafting Time: same for all crafting.
First determine the total level of the item being crafted. After that's done you only need to do a little bit of math to find the craft DC. The base DC to craft all items is 15 at 0 level. For each level above 0 the DC increases by 5.

Example: Level 1 = DC 20. Level 5 = DC 35, Level 10 = DC 65

Woh woh woh. you might be saying. I can't possibly make that check. FEAR NOT. for this check is only to determin the time it will take your character to craft the item. Not whether or not you succeed.

For every 5 you fail the DC check you increase the time it takes to create the item by a set amount. See table below.

5 = double crafting time to 8 hours.
10 = Increase crafting time to 1 full day of work.
15 = increase crafting time to 1 week of work.
20 = increase crafting time to 1 month of work.
25 = Increase crafting time to 3 months of work.
30 = Increase crafting time to 6 months of work.
35+ GM's discretion.

If you beat the DC by 5 or more you can also reduce the time but it is not as significant.

5 = -20% crafting time.
10 = - 50% crafting time
15+ against all odds you manage to make the item in around an hour or so.

Keep in mind you will require having the materials to craft the item on hand before making your check. These items can range from the obvious to the obscure and limited to GM's discretion.

when it comes to space ships and their build points we came to an agreement that the price of a single BP is 1000 credits. This makes these things reasonably expensive and yet not out of the range of possibility.

RISE FROM THE DEAD THREAD AND DO THE BIDDING OF YOUR MASTER AND FIND THE ANSWER! Is there even a question?

Yeah, your going to have to rephrase, because I can't even figure out what you are trying to ask. I mean, the cost to build *any* item is the same: the market value listed. This applies to vehicles and robots. And the answer to "How do you build ship systems?" is "You don't, refer to the ship BP rules".
