Question About Mythic Immortality

According to the description, the character comes back from the dead if he or she has been killed in some fashion. But there is nothing about living past old age. So would a character with this Mythic ability gradually age and die? Here is the description of the power. Thanks in advance, everyone.

Immortal (Su)

At 9th tier, if you are killed, you return to life 24 hours later, regardless of the condition of your body or the means by which you were killed. When you return to life, you aren’t treated as if you had rested, and don’t regain the use of abilities that recharge with rest until you next rest. This ability doesn’t apply if you’re killed by a coup de grace or critical hit performed by either a mythic creature (or creature of even greater power) or a non-mythic creature wielding a weapon capable of bypassing epic damage reduction. At 10th tier, you can be killed only by a coup de grace or critical hit made with an artifact.

Well... hm.

I always was just given to understanding you just became immortal in all its never-die-for-whatever glory, but the language is very specifically for being killed rather than aging to death.

Also, interpreting it as not affecting old age means the mythic power "longevity" actually, you know, does something for a 10th tier character, now.

I didn't even notice "longevity" when looking things over. I just have a player who doesn't want to not age and die. After her adventuring career ends she wants to retire to her family's villa with her husband and live as normal a life as a 20th level/Mythic 9 or 10 character can.

Since Immortality isn't an optional ability, I think it does apply to being killed. Longevity is an optional ability, it seems, so it's up to the character.

I think, with TL's help, I answered my own question.

Thanks!

You still die of old age. I recommend keeping a salve of the second chance on your nightstand. Or a scroll of cyclic reincarnation if you're just too attached to your look.
