Sling Flail (feat) question

Scarab Sages

Sling Flail feat.

When used as a flail, does the weapon have the Disarm and Trip weapon properties as per a normal Flail?

I'm inclined to say it does, but it really doesn't say. Looking for a second opinion.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would say "treat it as a [weapon]" means that you treat it as though it has all properties that the [weapon] would have normally. So yes, it should have the disarm and trip properties like a flail, IMO.

Agreed, otherwise it isn't much of a flail.

Scarab Sages

Thanks.

Okay, follow up: For weapon Enhancements on the Sling, do any that are melee compatible apply when used as a flail via this feat?

Doesn't say anything about this being an improvised weapon, so would the +1 sling be treated as a +1 Flail? Still doesn't hide the fact that this "Flail" does only 1d4 damage because it uses the sling's damage profile. What about the other enchantments, like Holy or Bane, would those apply while in "Flail" mode?

I would say "sure", since they're the weapon's normal statistics. I don't have a particular rule to point to to say "yea" or "nay" other than that.
