Space Goblin CR?

What's the CR value for space goblins? First Contact says it's CR 1/3 for 135 XP, but the space goblins' statblock in Incident at Absalom Station says CR 1/2 for 200 XP. The statblocks are otherwise identical.

I suspect the way CR is calculated has been changed slightly. I would go with the IaAS values, as the most up-to-date.

First Contact was made before monster rules were finalised so there may be some minor discrepancies, I'd use the AP rules primarily but as you said the statblocks are identical so you can still use monsters from First Contact easily enough.

Yes, I guess Incident should probably take precedence.

Yes first contact states it was made using an early version of the monster creation rules so anything in the release day items like the adventure path are more current and would take precedence.

In this case, however, the AP is wrong. First Contact (and soon, Alien Archive) are correct: the space goblin is CR 1/3, XP 135.

Interesting well good to know I would have assumed AP was the correct one at least until alien archive came out.

Alien Archives also list them as CR 1/3 with the same stats. Looks like Incident at Absalom might be the one with the wrong CR and XP reward. I hope the party still makes it to level 3 with a bit of XP missing.
