I like the idea of a Fighter with a little magic ability. It is true that the Spellstrike level is a dead level for the Fighter, but Arcane Pool and the Magus Arcana worth the lost, expecialy for haste. And the class has many bonus feasts. What do you think? Sorry for my bad English.
Why not actually GIVE the fighter some magic to go with the VMC Magus? Try this archetype. It'll slap on 4th level spell casting (arcane, but like paladin/ranger).
Yes, i known it. But it seems that is not so great as archetype, because for 4 levels of spellcasting you lost not only 4 or 5 feasts, but also all your weapon training, and with the new rules of Pathfinder Unchained you can do many things with that.
Well, if you don't want spellcasting (and I can understand why you wouldn't, giving up so much) you can make Spellstrike useful to you if you take the Pool Strike magus arcana @ 7th level . Since you are not barred from selecting Extra Arcana (like some other classes are with revelations/rage powers), you could get some use out of it.
