This is directed at those who get the core book early:
I plan on running this in Open Gaming at GenCon after I pick up my sub, but I would like to cut down on the time it takes to really dig in. I was hoping some folks might be able to build some starter pre-gens I can print out early.

Right, I'm playing Starfinder Society Thursday morning. It's with pregens, but I'll need a character number then to apply credit, if it's similar to PFS.

Interesting that they're 1, 4, 8 rather than 1, 4, 7.
It seems likely, but doesn't say- 'combat gear' is one use only?
Puzzled by the decision to leave off weapon ranges. That seems inconvenient for pre-gens.
I really don't see the point of having an archaic weapon. Quig functionally does 0 damage to things that aren't pets.

Well, they changed the tiers, so it's no longer 1-5, 3-7, 5-9, and so on, so it's probably due to that.
I just want to say THANKS to the team at Paizo for providing these. I'm looking to run a handful of single-session type games, and having pre-gen characters will make prep time so much quicker for me and my players.
