Hello,
I was hoping to get some help with double checking some damage calculations. I'm playing in a high level campaign and some of these numbers seem rather high. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the information that I used for my calculations.
STR: 24
Base Atk: +16
Feats: Power Attack, Vital Strike, Improved Critical: Longsword, Improved Vital Strike
Mythic Feats: Power Attack (M), Improved Critical: Longsword (M), Vital Strike (M)
Weapon: +3 Evil-Outside Bane Longsword
Based on that info I came up with the following numbers vs Evil Outsiders.
Standard: 1d8+12+2d6
Vital Strike: 3d8+36+2d6
Power Attack: 1d8+27+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack: 3d8+81+2d6
Standard [Critical]: 3d8+36+2d6
Vital Strike [Critical]: 5d8+60+2d6
Power Attack [Critical]: 3d8+126+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack [Critical]:5d8+210+2d6
I know that's a lot of number crunching but I would appreciate the help.
Thank you.

Assuming using the longsword in one hand:
Standard: 1d8+12+2d6
Vital Strike: 3d8+12+2d6
Power Attack: 1d8+22+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack: 3d8+22+2d6
Standard [Critical]: 2d8+24+2d6
Vital Strike [Critical]: 4d8+24+2d6
Power Attack [Critical]: 2d8+44+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack [Critical]: 4d8+44+2d6
Vital strike damage only applies to the weapon damage dice rolled, not to the static damage. Improved critical improves the threat range, not the multiplier.
If you use the longsword in two hands, the damage looks like this:
Standard: 1d8+15+2d6
Vital Strike: 3d8+15+2d6
Power Attack: 1d8+30+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack: 3d8+30+2d6
Standard [Critical]: 2d8+30+2d6
Vital Strike [Critical]: 4d8+30+2d6
Power Attack [Critical]: 2d8+60+2d6
Vital Strike + Power Attack [Critical]: 4d8+60+2d6

Pink you forgot he has mythic improved critical which upgrade the multiplier by 1 (up top a max of 6) so yes the x3 for his longsword is ok
and he has mythic vital strike which make applies all the bonus that is multipliable by a crit to be add more than once, so since he has improved vital strike his str bonus is add 3 time instead of once same for his magic bonus and other flat bonus to damage
you should go check the mythic version before saying the normal version don't do that when the mythic version allows it
Edit: remove improved by mythic on the beginning of the second statement

You missed the mythic part:

Sardel you should excerpt key bits for better advice.
Mythic vital strike: multiply everything that gets multiplied by a crit
mythic power attack: -1 for 3 and doubled before crit multiplier
mythic improved crit: x3 on a longsword
assuming one handed with actual math written out:
Str 24 is +7 str
power attack is -4 + 12
improved vital strike is 1d8->3d8
There are various interpretations on what happens with mythic vital strike and a crit. My favored one is that even though mythic vital strike adds a ton of extra damage (some of which is flat numbers) it's still bonus damage not multiplied by a crit, but other interpretations are that everything is multiplied. Below is just my interpretation then and I make no claims to being sure it's obviously the only right interpretation and RAW.
One handed normally:
1d8+7str+5 magic +2d6 bane
adding mythic improved vital strike:
1d8+12+2d6 + 2d8+24again = 3d8+36+2d6
Mythic power attack:
1d8 + 7 str + 5 magic + 15 PA + 2d6 bane = 1d8+27+2d6
mythic power + mythic imp. vital:
1d8+27+2d6 + 2d8+52
If you crit, (with mythic improved crit) triple everything that isn't the bane and vital strike bonus damage, AND double the power attack damage to 30 *before* that. e.g.
mythic improved vital strike crit while power attacking:
3d8+ 124 + 2d6 + 2d8+52
The other interpretation is that when you crit you multiply the flat damage like normal, and also the power attack double effect works on the vital strike damage, so you get the amazing:
(1d8+7str+30power attack +5 magic)x3 from vital strike)=3d8+126 which crits for
5d8+372 + 2d6 bane.
Mythic gets nuts.
