Can you dismiss a spell cast from a scroll?

Rules Questions

One of my players cast a spell from a scroll that is normally dismissable. Is he able to dismiss it himself whenever he chooses, or is that not possible since the scroll's creator was the source of the spell?

Spells cast via spell completion and spell trigger items can be dispelled as normal. For example, someone who drinks a potion is both the caster and the target, and can dismiss the spell effect (assuming it's a [D] spell) if they wish.

Awesome. Thank you so much!
