When struck with amnesia it states you lose all class abilities. Just had a question, would "Special Attacks" be considered class abilities (ie. Sneak attack, paralysis, command ghasts and ghouls, create spawn)?
Look at the class's level advancement table. The far right column is your class abilities. If it's listed under there, it's a class ability, and you lose it.
If it isn't listed there, then it's not a class ability. A dwarven rogue would lose sneak attack, but not, say, darkvision, which is a racial ability.
How would this spell affect say a Mountain Giant? Something that isn't a specific class.
It loses class abilities. If it has a special ability that is inherent to its race, it won't lose it due to Amnesia.
The Mountain Giant will also lose access to its Feats, and its Skill Ranks (but not any bonuses to skill checks it gets via ability scores or racial bonus.)
Ahh ok, would he lose his spell like abilities ie invisibility, dimension door etc.
It doesn't say that they do, so he won't.
