i wonder between Oath of Vengeance for nearly endless smites per day VS

Oath of the People's Council ..

for example : level 10 breakdown :
Vengeance offer smite 8-9 times per day, +10 Damage,+3 to hit, +3 AC, no DR. +20 Vs undead or demons...
so VS evil - it's a HUGE boon.

Bard song = +2 to ALL the party to hit and damage & extra 1d6 sonic damage to all the party.
can also boost skills, do some fear and add some effects with feats.

is it worth it ? or the lose of smite will be felt so much?

theres also divine hunter and tempered champion archetypes with make pretty good ranged builds also are those rolled stats or point buy?

divine hunter is REALLY bad archtype. it's a great 2 level dip, but the rest isnt good .
the stat are "given" hence - set

are you particularly attached to being able to cast spells?

attached ? no... but the alternative need to be amazing, as a full melee with spells and scrolls is a more balance one.

tempered champion trades spells for several bonus feats and nets you warpriest sacred weapon dmg with your weapon as well as letting you use lay on hands to fuel you divine bond for extra uses and your paladin level counts as fighter levels for the purposes of meeting feat prerequisites which means greater weapon focus, weapon specialization, greater weapon specialization and many other fun feats are on the table for you
