Disarm as AoO

Rules Questions

Hi, is possible disarm as an AoO? I make an example:

(A) attacks (B) and trips him successfully. (A) has the feat Greater Trip and so he generates an AOO. With this aoO can (A) disarm (B)? (Considering it has the feat Improved Disarm) Thanks!

Yes, that works just fine.

Also, you don't need Improved Disarm to be able to make a Disarm attempted as an attack of opportunity (though without it, you'd provoke an AoO, which could spawn the infinite loop of AoOs ...)

yes of course! but without improved disarm... (A) provokes aoO and all damage suffered are malus in the CMB disarm maneuver

There is no infinite loop because after a certain point you lack the resources to make more AoOs.

Good point, Sammy T.

Unless you use Mythic. Then two Barbarians with Come and Get Me make a perpetual AoO machine.

Have you spent your AoO before you have made it?

Okey, you're probably right =)

If the opponent is already tripped and is now prone, would be even be able to make an AoO?

Yes. Being prone gives you a –4 penalty to melee attack rolls (among other things), but you can still attack. In fact, I think there's builds out there who's whole shtick is to fight while being prone. Though someone else have to fill you in on the details.

Ok.
