Spontaneous caster + multiple metamagic

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Double checking. If my Sorcerer or Oracle wants to apply multiple metamagic feats to a single spell, does it increase my casting time twice?

For example, I want Burning Hands cast without Somatic Component (Still Spell) and I want it to deal non-lethal damage (Merciful Spell). As a Spontaneous caster, applying a metamagic feat increases the casting time from a Standard action to a Full Round action. Now, if I apply the second metamagic feat, do we consider this already modified spell a Full Round Action spell, thus increasing the casting time to 2 Full Round Actions, or since the initial spell is a Standard action, does it remain a single Full Round action?

If wondering, I'm trying to determine the viability of a Sorcerer or Oracle that uses lots of metamagic feats. Obviously, Burning Hands requiring 2 turns to cast is not viable, but not being viable could still be the RAW answer...

No, the metamagic increase is based on the spell's normal casting speed. You can apply as many metamagic as you like and only get the standard casting time increase. There are a lot of popular Sorcerer builds that would be completely invalidated if you couldn't stack metamagic like this.

Thank you very much.

Hey, somewhat on subject, can you prepare metamagic modfied spells in Domain Spell Slots (provided that it is a Domain spell that is being modified)?

Yes, it's a spell granted by your domain so you can prepare it in your domain slot.

Awesome, Thanks again.
