What to do? Half my chronicles aren't recorded online

Pathfinder Society

Grand Lodge

I honestly rarely look at my characters online, but out of chance did today. I noticed that my cleric shows only two of the chronicles sheets he is credited have been recorded, and my sorcerer has none. In a couple of cases the ones not recorded are over a year old. The ones that haven't been recorded are all from one shop/ V.C., while the ones I play at the shop in the next city or at Cons have been recorded properly.

In my physical binder I have the signed and dated Chronicle sheets, so I'm not so worried about being able to play the characters at their appropriate level and equipment. I'm just wondering if this is this going to cause a problem in some way I'm not considering? It really does appear to all be ones run under a specific VC and his team.

Suggestions?

don't worry about it. seems to be par for the course. Just be sure to hold onto your papers citizen.

Yeah, a bunch of my characters are missing some online reporting as well. As long as you have the physical chronicle you should be fine.

It just becomes a problem if your physical folder is ever lost or stolen, since the electronic record can serve as proof of what you have done, so replacements could be issued. You might want to scan your stack of chronicles as a back-up.

Talk to the GM/Organizer/VO that would be responsible for reporting them and remind them that they should report their sessions (this is also in their own interest because only reported sessions count for star advancement and other stuff).

Remind the specific VC and his team that something is wrong, if that doesn't work or you don't get feedback, you might want to escalate it up the chain of command to your region's RVC.

In any case scanning your chronicle sheets just in case (and I would suggest some sort of cloud storage, just in case) should at least help you, and you might even help the reporting process by sending them to the person who should have reported them.

It's not par for any course I've played on. All of my chronicles have been reported save for 1 or 2 out of ~170 games

We've got new guy asking this at least once a week. (it's not new guys fault that they ask, but it's a very common occurance or it wouldn't crop up so much)

From what I've read, there is an issue in some areas not reporting in a reasonable time. I told one of my players that as long as he's got the paper chronicle, he's golden.

Scanning and cloud storage is a good back up.

Beginning with Season 9, there is a change with scanned chronicle validity at table. Player I mentioned above is a pilot by trade. Having all that extra paperwork in his flight bag would be cumbersome/prohibitive. I know he carries around a tablet (love them myself)so pending how season 9 rolls out, scanned docs will be a godsend for him and any others that travel for a living.

Big fan of that change ^^

As the DM 99.999% of the time. I reserve the right to see exactly how it's written up. One of my issues is one time use boxes on chronicles.

For the honest (95% of the people), especially for those that travel, it will be a godsend.

I have no insight into this, but I hope for something like this:

"If a player wants to purchase a limited item, or use a boon from a chronicle make a note. Once the scenario has concluded add what options were purchased to the chronicle sheet. Bonus points if the player uses software to annotate the originating digital chronicle sheet"

Making annotations to a scanned pdf is pretty simple, even lining through items (I use those tools quite a loot so my perception is very likely warped).
In the vast number of situations we do trust players, this might be enough to cover 99% of players.

I've played in 3 sessions, all at Gen Con: only one has been reported now several weeks later.

There's an issue with the gencon reporting. THey'll get around to it. or they won't.

GenCon staff will report every single reporting sheet to the best of their ability. Please don't imply that they are lazy or sloppy and 'might not get around to it'.

Didn't say that, didn't hint at that, didn't imply it.

There seems to be a computer bug with the reporting. Those tend to take a while to shake out.

My local stores are usually pretty good at recording sessions, but the last two conventions I went two (Gen Con and a local one more than a month before it) haven't been reported at all yet. I really only care because I have a couple of GM sessions in there, and I'm getting close to that next star.

I wonder how this affects replays and recharges (for the Expand the Narrative Boon). I obviously don't have copies of the paperwork to show I ran the missing GenCon sessions. Honor system?

Silver Crusade 4/5

Most of PFS runs on the honor system.

Not really, since the DM tracks their own expanded narrative boon. I mean it's really handy to be able to look online and say i ran x on y day but not neccesary.

Adding Starfinder Society reporting to the system caused a few bugs in the system. This slowed down Gen Con reporting. We have all the sheets turned in and are working to get them in as we can process them.

One known bug is GM sessions show up on the GM tab, but not the individual character assigned to that session's tab. This is being corrected.

If you know of other bugs, please list them in the website feedback thread so we can get them corrected out.

Thanks for keeping us informed, Tonya.
