Vouivre + Monstrous Physique II

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

Hi All,

When using monstrous physique II to take the form of a Vouivre, is all of your gear assumed to be at the creature's humanoid end? If so, would this allow manufactured weapon attacks from the humanoid end and all 5 natural attacks from the dragon end, or should it be assumed manufactured weapon attacks would have to be used at the dragon end, replacing the claw attacks?

"Other polymorph spells might be subject to this restriction as well, if they change you into a form that is unlike your original form (subject to GM discretion)"

Ask your GM if your gear melds like animal etc, moves like humanoid, or something else.

James -- Note that the sentence you quoted comes after the sentence about casting spells, not the one about gear merging into your new form.

But I think I would play it that your gear stays with the humanoid part of the body (which means that the polymorphed version of this monster is probably not nude as the original version would be). Remember that those natural attacks all become secondary attacks if you attack with manufactured weapons.

Oooh. I never thought about that.

My investigator just got more cruel and unusual.

I do believe my mythic caster will be taking Monstrous Physique soon.

For usage on the party's natural attack barbarian. She can always use an extra 5 attacks/round on top of what she already has.

Silver Crusade

Thanks for the feedback. The way we played it was that the gear stayed with the humanoid part and it worked out fine. The extra 5 attacks were good, but certainly not game breaking due to them being secondary.
