Is the hotel reservation code available yet? Is the schedule up? When's the lottery going to start? I'm ready to come back! I need more PaizoCon!

Seriously, I missed PaizoCon this year a lot judging at a different convention.

Do we know the hotel?

There were some concerns about mis-pricing this past year, not sure if that's changed the dynamic or contract or not?

Without naming any names (this is not the thread for it), I think many would appreciate an acknowledgement of who will and won't be invited to PaizoCon 2018, and how certain policies will and won't be adjusted, before we are asked to buy our tickets.

It is important that you read this post (and perhaps that entire thread) before you continue reading my response.

I have read the linked post:
As Lisa said, we treat these issues with tremendous sensitivity, and only disclose the specifics and resolutions of any such incidents on a need-to-know basis, even within Paizo or with our legal counsel.

With that understanding, you can rest assured that anyone who has violated our anti-harassment policy is not welcome at PaizoCon.

Back to the original topic. Is it possible to confirm dates and locations for those of us travelling from outside the US? The later we leave it, the more expensive the flights get.

I'm nobody official. But it should be Memorial Day weekend, and it'll be in Seattle.

True. Just wanting to confirm weekend and which hotel from an official source before booking flights.

So when will official dates be out and badge purchases available?

It looks like I can't make Gen Con this year so if the dates work I'd like to go to Paizo Con, but since I'm a reservist I have to check dates pretty far out or I have no chance of making it. . .

Memorial Day Weekend is an incredibly safe bet. Games will run from Friday morning until midday Monday.

Incredibly safe bet it may be, but when I am looking at dropping $1500 dollars on flights I want to make 100% sure. I can book accomodation at a later date, it is the price increase on flights that gets painful and is getting me worried.

Yay. I found a flight package for about 1100 and return. Now I just need confirmation of dates to book it.

Same here, but my flights are starting to get expensive to the point where I might not be able to make it.

For what it's worth... that's the last page of the booklet detailing what events were going on for last PaizoCon. I should've thought to say something about it at all.

Also, need to be sure that the hotel the group I'm going with is the 'right' hotel, and the rate window is very tight given that it falls over Memorial Day weekend.

For what it's worth, I managed to get a room at the Doubletree for a reasonable price, and which I can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours beforehand. I reserved it back in September, since I was fairly confident on dates.

Accomodation is not too bad. I stayed at the Days Inn across the street last year at a cheaper rate, but I was there for two and a half weeks sightseeing. This year I should be in for the con only and at the con hotel.

Thank goodness it as these days cause I got a great deal at a nearby hotel and flight for those dates. Only downside is my flight out is the 28th at 4:45pm, but thats acceptable.

Two Australians reporting with Flights confirmed. I do not know how you Americans feel about United Airlines, but saving 400 bucks on Aifaire as they just went on sale is awesome.

That is nice. I love savings regardless.

I usually have to fly Southwest as it is the cheaper option for me, though i am stateside and not sure if Southwest operates internationally out of Australia.

Consider our native airlines and everyone else (delta and a few others) thinks we want to pay more to travel via LAX, when United gets us via SFO at the cheaper price. United gets all my money for the trip.

Good call. Flying into America via LA is vile. Last year I flew into Seattle which was one of the smoothest entries to the US I’ve ever had. Not an option from Australia, sadly.

The Community Use package was just updated to include the PaizoCon2018 logo, so should be soon(TM)!

True. I did SFO last year and man it was a breeze.
