Paladin Mount, not a heavy horse?

Pathfinder Society

1) So, I have a character that just reached level 5 as a Paladin.

2) I have a miniature of a dire wolf, my Paladin's Mount during my Living Greyhawk days.

3) The text of the divine bond ability says "The second type of bond allows a paladin to gain the service of an unusually intelligent, strong, and loyal steed to serve her in her crusade against evil. This mount is usually a heavy horse (for a Medium paladin) or a pony (for a Small paladin), although more exotic mounts, such as a boar, camel, or dog are also suitable."

Is there any way to relive the nostalgia and have my Paladin's mount be a dire wolf?

(I fully expect the answer is 'no,' but I also figured it never hurts to ask.)

Talk to your GM, I'd see no problem in using the large version of the Wolf stats from animal companion section.

That might be the case in a normal game (and, indeed, that's what I would do if that were so), but I'm asking with regards to Pathfinder Society, which has no one set DM, but a whole range of different ones.

The Exchange 4/5

it is no for normal way of going, but think maybe a feat to allow it.

Well first you should probably put this in the society forum or at least state that in the message

As to getting a non-standard mount in PFS? take monstrous mount as your level 5 feat. that's the only way you'll get anything outside the heavy horse in PFS from my experience.

1/2 orc paladins can take beast rider which expands the available mount list. The silver champion paladin AT gets a drake instead of a horse. Small paladins are described as being able to have a dog. Not sure of any other ways.

It looks like I did. I know for certain that that's the place I was in when I created the post in the first place. Has it been moved?

Sadly, the closest monstrous mount there is a Worg, which can't be used for a Paladin due to the alignment restriction.

There's a boon for this (Mounted Tradition) but I seem to recall it only offers wolves as mounts for dhampirs and kitsune of at least level 7.
