Maybe. We'll be running the shortest versions of the games. But I also think we'll be being asked the most questions about the game. It would be nice to be able to answer them.

I think our job is to show off the game and "sell" it to people wandering the convention hall who may not have heard of Starfinder (and maybe not even Pathfinder.) Being able to speak intelligently towards that goal would be a huge plus.

EDIT: Thank you for your post, it is helping my sanity a bit to know it's not just me as it were.

Monday: get up at 6AM, drive to a place where I can see the eclipse, with 2-3 hours to spare to account for traffic before totality. Comfortably after totality, drive home, a 9h drive, arriving after midnight. Get up 6AM on Tuesday for a morning faculty workshop on the first-year Inquiry class....

I live in Omaha, Nebraska but work in Lincoln. Lincoln is in the path of totality and the reason I am flying home Sunday night instead of Monday.

When did you volunteer?

If you volunteered several months ago, your GenCon badge should have shown up in your GenCon account. Also, GenCon send me information on my hotel room and roommates a month ago.
