Eldritch Heritage + Orc Bloodline?

Okay, Eldritch Heritage grants bloodline powers without granting access to the bloodline Acana. If my PC already has Darkvision and Light Sensitivity (like a Dhampir), and I take Improved Eldritch Heritage to gain the Orc Bloodline's 3rd level power, does it remove the racial Light Sensitivity?

Bloodline is found here

looks like it should work to me.

The power says "you lose your light sensitivity". It does not seem to specify the source of your light sensitivity, so as written you would lose it.

Ruling the other way would create an interesting situation for an Orc Sorcerer with this bloodline.

Thanks.

No special plans here, was just curious.

It should work, although waiting until 11th level and spending three feats (also not taking Strength of the Beast for the Str bonus with Improved Eldritch Heritage)... doesn't seem worth it? Since lenses of darkness are not that expensive (12,000 gp) for WBL at that point.

Point of question was curiosity, not making the strongest build.

Though, regarding the ability, it is worth noting that in addition to losing light sensitivity, it also adds +2 natural armor and immunity to fear. Fear immunity is definitely the strong point here. And, if it matters, this ability is an Ex ability which isn't alignment dependent, unlike the much easier to acquire Aura of Courage (Su) for a Paladin.

Still probably no worth the feat investment, but with the right build, maybe.

I did, recently survive a PFS scenario with my 3rd level paladin, where I got hit with phantasmal killer, and got to shrug it off with my fear immunity. That encounter has made me rethink the value of fear immunity (which I had previously considered equal to having a good will save).

And you can always spend one more feat to acquire Strength of the Beast. ^_^ You're so close already that you might as well, if Strength is at all important to you.
