Advice

OK, so my unchained barbarian has her +1 furious greataxe. She likes it, and it likes her. But sooner or later we have to add more to it. And I'm wobbling a little. What I know I want:

-four more plusses
-Transformative
-Keen (because transformative kind'a makes Improved Critical useless, doesn't it?)

Due to certain damage-related issues, I've decided that Vicious won't work out. So ... er, which of these things should she get first? And is there anything else that should be on the shopping list?

I'd probably shoot for Keen first.

For extra stuff... Impact is always a favorite for me. Ghost Bane is a good idea if you're encountering a lot of incorporeal creatures. There's also Vampiric/Greater Vampiric if you're finding yourself taking a lot of damage.

A spare magic weapon of alternative DR could be useful early on, a mere +1 and special material can help, especially if the GM starts throwing out rust monsters, oozes, mimics, and the like. There are even some nice specific magic weapons with 1/day effects unique to that item.

Spell storing if you have a bad touch wizard to help you out (or scrolls and UMD).

Ominous could be fantastic for an INTIMIDATE barbarian letting you quickly stack onto the shaken condition.

A Limning weapon may or may not be of use at higher levels, but negating invisibility, blur, displacement, mirror image, etc is very useful against those squishy casters (if they survive the first hit that is).

Dispelling can be wonderful for your allies or your iterative attacks, hit, dispel a defence, pile on the damage.

The energy bursts are fun, and add that extra little bit of flair on a crit, best when paired with crit builds.

Finally glamoured, for when you need to be armed in secret (or when someone is after your favorite toy, pairs well with a spare +1 weapon).
[Why do you have a boat anchor? Because I might need to anchor a boat. -_-]

Silver Crusade

There's always the classic Courageous.
Add a +1, then Courageous, then another +2 or +3.

Courageous has been nerfed/ corrected in faq "A courageous weapon was meant to help only on saves against fear (either adding its enhancement bonus as a morale bonus on saves against fear, or adding half its enhancement bonus to your existing morale bonus on saves against fear, whichever is best for you). However, the wording is in error. The last sentence should say “on saves against fear” after “any morale bonus.” This change will be reflected in the next errata."

How would an ominous weapon help? Will save 13 on critical hits only. Few people at that level are going to fail that.

Well, that's a shame. Also, funny how they realised the wording was wrong only now, 5 years after its publication. It was only the default weapon of EVERY Barbarian ever after all xD

Shadow Lodge

For purposes of beating more forms of DR, it may be useful to upgrade to +3 Furious before adding other special properties. This will beat DR/cold iron and silver all the time, and DR/adamantine and alignment while raging.
