Grapple hogtie thoughts

Advice

Has anyone ever got the feat Equipment Trick Rope before? I was thinking it may have some value when trying to tie up my opponent with rapid grapple. Is it worth spending a feat for? Basically takes the -10 penalty to Hogtie down to -5.

Even if nobody has selected this feat is it viable for a tetori? Any sort of opinions would be awesome. I have read in other posts the DC of a silk rope is 23? That could be an issue as more powerful creatures would be able to break loose. If I used a chain would it still be considered a "Rope trick"?

Anyone? Is this a trap feat?

IMO, it's worth considering two levels of Cavalier; as with Order of the Penitent- you can tie up a grappled enemy, regardless of their condition, without taking the -10 penalty.
[There are archetypes that make mounts more manageable.]

As for giving to a tetori monk, it's probably better just to pin them after you grapple, then tie them up.
Even then, a reinforced scarf may be better than rope. sometimes, the -5 can be just enough for some wily enemies to break free.

And i have no answer as to whether or not a 'chain' would be considered usable in regards to Rope Trick; but for restraining them, no issues.

I've read Grapple hottie... so disappointed this thread isn't related to Succubus in a grapple.
