I haven't seen mention of this anywhere else, so here it is. It was apparently posted on Tuesday. Anyway, the two new ships are the Atech Immortal and the BMC Mauler.

Vesk engaging in dogfighting duels of honor is something that makes sense to me.

Pretty neat. Can't wait to see viable "PC" ships :D

I wonder if we'll ever get deck plans for something like the Atech Immortal. I've always wanted that from Star Wars, deck plans for a Star Destroyer, not just cut away art. The Atech Immortal seems much smaller than a kilometer long Imperial Star Destroyer, so it seems much more likely to happen.

Oh baby *drools loudly*

Traveller has some for large ships, though they're typically scaled for 15mm figures/counters. The Azhanti High Lightning boardgame has the full deck plans for a cruiser-sized vessel, and one of the Gurps Traveller books has a Tigress-class happy fun ball which is even larger (though, it being a book, the maps would need enlarging before/after printing). There are also Star Trek deck plans for ships that run anywhere from 100m to 1km.

There's also software for creating deck plans.

I'm pretty awful at the whole artistic thing, but I can use software. Can you name me some programs to look into?

I often use Excel.

Yes, seriously. The grid is easy enough to turn into squares, each one can have a separate border of varying thicknesses and can be coloured/shaded, and there are fonts with various symbols that can represent equipment of different types. It can be a bit of work, but if you've the time it works pretty well.

Cosmographer 3 is an add-on for Campaign Cartographer 3, which is pretty popular as map-making software goes. It's what Paul Schirf used.

Dave's Mapper is an online program that'll generate some random ship plans, if that's helpful.

Quick Decks isn't actually software. It's PDFs of pre-generated sections which can be printed out and arranged to suit.

Those are the ones that I actually own and sometimes use. I've been recommended Autorealm but found is rather fiddly. Shuffler from www.papermakeit.com is another one that's supposed to be good and handles spaceships.

You could try MapForge, especially if you this new sci-fi content becomes available for it.
