As the title states, Can a Cleric of Desna take the Trade (sub-domain)? Because the Domain (main) is Travel.
I know the book states:
"A cleric who chooses a subdomain must have access to both the domain and its subdomain from her deity."
I hope I am reading it right as the Cleric can not? Since Desna doesn't have Trade as a domain?

You are correct. Desna does not grant the Trade subdomain. The Separatist archetype of cleric can get it though, with some drawbacks.
Note, there are a few deities that grant subdomains for domains they do not normally offer.
no. Desna has access to Travel and the Exploration subdomain. Not the trade subdomain.
I'm not sure of the sources they use, but http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Desna lists her sub-domains. Trade isn't on the list and doesn't make sense thematically.
Thanks. I assumed as much, but a few people tried to argue that a sub-domain was in the Domain. Good to know for later on.
