leveling spells?

Rules Questions

is there any optional rules in pathfinder were you can level up spells(like cast magic missile 100 times and it levels up from a level 1 magic missile to a level 2 magic missile were you can either pick a damage increase, a resource cost decrease or a cast time decrease and each level needs more casting to rank up a spell?)

Unless there is a third party product I've never heard about, no.

No but you could use spell research to create a 2nd level version of magic missile that does more damage. This would of course be up to your GM and if you are a sorcerer would use up one of your spells known.

You could also learn and make use of metamagic feats.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: No. However, it sounds like what you're suggesting is an alternative method of leveling up where you get XP in each ability rather than XP overall. This has not been done officially, even as an optional rule, because it would be INSANELY DIFFICULT to keep track each ability - unless you used a computer to do it.

Which is why Skyrim (and other Bethesda games) do exactly that.

it would probably be a mechanic only for spontaneous casters so it would be easier to track but yes this is basically the kind of mechanic i was looking for making specialized spells do more/cost less the more you use them
