Stacking Question: Bracers of Glib Entertainer and Circlet of Persuasion

Bracers of Glib Entertainer gives +5 competence on Perform checks.

Circlet of Persuasion gives +3 competence on Cha checks.

Both are competence, but one is for skills specifically (and a specific skill to boot) while the other is for all Cha checks (including something like a Charm Person Charisma check which is an ability check). I'm guessing they don't stack but I wanted to double check.

They do not stack, you will gain the largest bonus for the applicable skill. So you end up with +5 Perform checks, +3 all other CHA checks.
