Riding a Ioun Wyrd?

Rules Questions

Could a Grippli (Small 2' 3" 32 lbs) ride an Ioun Wyrd Familiar (Tiny 2' diameter disc) with Muleback Cords and Ant Haul cast on it?

Ioun Wyrd
Str 4
Muleback Cords +8 Str for CC = Str 12
Ant Haul x 3 CC
Assuming I'm getting the multpliers right
LL = 43 x3 = 129 x .5 (tiny) = 64lbs

Does this seem reasonably legal?

I can't help it. My Grippli Monk - Sohei (mounted monk) Shaman just got a Ioun Wyrd Familiar.
The idea of a 2' 3" green skin humanoid frog wearing a robe and wielding a blade of Blue energy (flame Blade metamagiced to cold) zipping round the battlefield on a flying disc construct overwhelms me. :P

why not give the Ion Wyrd the Mauler Archetype? They will be medium in battle shape and you have no worries about riding it. I think there is a rule that you can only use larger creatures as a Mount.

The prof is correct, the CRB says "appropriately sized mount" or similar language,
this is clarified in the ACG undersized mount feat as a mount that is at least one size category larger than you.

Hmm, I had missed the Mauler Archtype. Since I really wasn't thinking of a fighter type.
I had a vague memory of the phrase "Appropriate sized" but was figuring a 2' diameter disc would be appropriate sized for a 2' tall bi pedal creature.

Although reading the "undersized mount" feat technically it doesn't say that a mount must be at least one size category larger -
"Normal: Typically a mount suited for you is at least one size category larger than you."
I have a vague recollection of seeing a mount that was the same size as the rider although that may've been 3.5.

Oh well. Looks like it might have to be Mauler rather than Mascot.
