So I was wondering if as a Preservationist I could take Superior Summoning. I have seen it in other builds, but when I looked it required a Caster Level 3. In the FAQ it says alchemists do not count as spellcasters for item creation, but would they for superior summoning since they can get Augmented Summoning?
Probably not.
If it wasn't for the fact that the archetype specifically called out Augment Summoning it wouldn't even work because extracts aren't spells.
